Congrats! Uh, the coach is a chick? Cool. Make you play harder tougher.

Very cool! My congrats to the young man for a job well done.
I have been going through "withdrawal" today... this is the first weekend since August that I have not reffed a game. Last weekend it was bitter cold and I did a college showcase for U17-U19 boys. Lots of fun.

Coach was the goal tender for Texas A&M few years ago. The assistant played in Colorado. And the gentleman is the Step-father of one of the boys and he played for Greece's national team until sustaining a head injury doing a bicycle kick during a game.
Team has been together a number of years.
Yesterdays final was play while about an inch of ran fell. Delightful for the fans!
Get this.
We were down 2-1 when we scored the tying goal with 5 minutes left. Scored the winning goal on a corner kick in stoppage time.
I think the parents were more excited than the boys.

OK, so after the team tied it up did it go to OT or PK's?

AH... my bad... a brain fart.

No problem
Can't get any better way to win a game as that

You bet Don... a very exciting way to win.
Just received my 2011 USSF badge in the mail on Friday which will be my 16th year as a ref.
In Feb. we have to get recertified for 2012... hard to believe how fast things roll around.
