Maybe for a rat rod JP but too pricey for what I'm gonna do. Maybe a rover V8, maybe a TR6 engine ( which I already have.)

I have a good running spare 1300 as well as a core 1500 short block with a good crank. At this rate i could probably go another 100-150K without any major machine work. (sans maybe a valve job)

The car still runs great. It'll have 20K on it in another 400 miles.
 
Rolls V-8's without a car attached are useless, IMO.
 
Too bad they are not V12s .. Think Merlin or griffon. I would already be on my way.
