HEY BILL, you cat hater

....yeah, but are there any cats?????

Well, sort of. South Metope XXVIII depicts a centaur about to deliver a death blow to a poor Lapith. The centaur rather famously wears a lion skin draped over his left arm, to wit:

South Metope XXVIII

The lion, panthera leo, is a member of the cat family. Those buggers are everywhere, man!

If Greece is anything like Italy there could be feral cats everywhere. The hill city I lived in as well as several others that I visited and several Roman ruins are over run with cats.

The ruins at Pompei used to have a mouse problem so they brought in cats, then they had a cat problem so they brought in dogs. They are still trying to figure out what to do about the dog problem.

I say throw-em in the blender and make catsup :jester:
