Has anyone put a Herko fuel pump on a Bugeye? The model I am looking at is a KD8016. I need to add a new electric fuel pump and would like to stay away from those noisey FACET (or Facet look alikes) as they are quite noisey. Just checking.

Thank you
Paul

I've fitted a couple of Airtex pumps. They are quiet and cheap....30 buck's on Amazon but you will have to research the part number for the right pressure. I don't recall it right now.

Kurt.

In my experience, using rubber mountings for the Facet, it is only noisy when you need it to be; when key is turned on, but before the engine starts. The clicking sound means all is well! After the engine starts, can't hear it at all.

I have ~THIS~ quiet electric fuel pump in my street Spridget. Works well and under $30.

But I have the noisy Facet in my race car (with a regulator bring it down to 3 psi). I like hearing it working!

The Airtex number is E8016S--not sure why the numbers are so similar as the Herko--anyway, it puts out 2.5-4.5 psi. I've been running one for years.
