C'mon Stew, you'd take $50,000 if someone offered cash!

Nope not quite enough. I've got way to many great childhood memories in this car to give it up for 50g. Between sitting on my dads lap driving around the back roads of santa fe to riding around on the back shelf going to great places with my grandma. Of course if you did that now days I would of ended up under the care of child services.

ditto on improvising the back shelf into a seat... 'cept twas mom, dad, sis, and me in the car... flying down a stretch of high way at about 70MPH... what an awsome little car they had... wish I had one ... oh ... wait... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I've also had yonger folks want to talk about my B, and want to try and guess what car it is... they always guess Alfa or Fiat, and look suprised when I tell them MG... of course, it's at that time 90% of them say "Never heard of it"... heh /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

My wife and I were on our way to a local car show shortly after we bought her Stag and stopped at a Sonic drive-in for lunch. A 20something pulled up next to us in a brand new BMW 5 series and started talking to us about the car, how great it looked, how much we liked it, etc. After a couple of minutes of talking he said 'Would you like to trade cars?' I think my wife was 2 feet off the ground the rest of the day. Since then she has found out that ANY time we take the Stag we will get compliments, comments, looks, etc.

Boy, does she love that car!

Well, WOULD you like to trade cars?

Not mine to trade - you'd have to ask my wife! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif

By far... My most favoritest Triumph, Raymond. Just look at the styling./ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Even Janel can't say anything bad about them. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I've got the LE stored outside on blocks, under a cover, up at the top of a long driveway(my parents) and somehow at least 3 people have spotted it and stopped to ask if it's for sale....I haven't had anyone ask to buy a car on the road....although I bought a car like that once; I was out for a stroll and spotted a 75 MGB coming down the street towards me, as he passed I yelled "WANNA SELL UR CAR" he slammed on the brakes and after a little negotiating I had a new car!
I've also been known to follow LBC's.....Back in the 70's I saw an MGA MKII in the opposite lane, I pulled a U-turn and followed him to the junkyard!! When I pulled up the owner was removing the rad becasue it was new and he was going to sell it for $20...I offered him $50 for the whole car and he even delivered it to my house!
Since then if I see a neglected looking LBC on the road theres a good chance I'll be following it!

Thanks Paul! My wife fell in love with it instantly (you can read the story on my website) and she loves the attention it always gets, and I enjoy getting my 'ragtop fix' with it - at least until Chance is up and running.

I hope Janel doesn't say anything bad ... my wife is very protective of her car.

There were around 18 Stags at British Car Day up here in Oakville in September. Don't know if I will see that many together again.

Must have been quite a sight! At the events I show up for, my wife's is the only Stag there. Glen is trying to get 100 stags to show up for the VTR gathering in TX in July - if you can make the trip.

Those Stag wheels will look great on my MG /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

LOL, I might be able to make you a deal on them - my wife is wanting Panasports for her car. Now if I can just find a set I can afford right now ....
