Went to the radiator shop tonight to pick up the heater core. Good News/Bad News--No leaks were found and no leaks were found. I told him to use some soldering acid on the paint and please retest. Maybe the heater hoses were bad?? At this point I don't know. The other issue is when I let off the throttle the car goes to the left. I have bushings for the rear to put on but was wonderig if there was a specific place to go look. Before you get started I am going to use stock type bushing not the "racing" style. That will be changed in the next MG I get. I want this one to be pretty stock for daily driving. And no I'm not going to lower the car or anything like that. Any thoughts.

I think the front bushings might be suspect...

Mine does the same thing - but more randomly....
And I know my front bushings are way worse than the back ones.

Any clunking? It's possible that the rear axle "U" bolts are loose. That would cause "throttle steer"
If it's directly related to on-off the throttle, it's not likley to be the fronts.

It could be the fronts with Hard on-off throttle, but less noticeable or seemingly random variations at steady throttle. Mostly do to the front not maintaining proper geometry from dive and squat situations.

If the rear end of the car feels like it pulls one way on acceleration and the other under braking, then the rear spring clamps are probably loose. This is not uncommon if they have never been checked.

Yup. Shackle bolts. Get a new set, as the likelyhood of corrosion or damaged threads is high. Spring "pads" too.

& check to make sure the holes in the body at the spring locating points aren't wallowed out - might as well replace those bushings while you're under there

I have the bushing set for the rear. Just haven't put them in yet. Any ideas on how to find the water leak. I thought about putting card board on the driver's and passenger's floor to see where the drips are coming from. Any other ideas.

PS I will be looking under the rear end this weekend.

Since the heater core isn't leaking, the next question is: Does it only leak after a rain or car wash?

Seems to be after a rain--sometimes!!! I can't find any waater dripping down from the windshield or off the bottom of the dash.
