Umm, years ago I emailed Ashley Hinton and bought stuff directly from him.
 
Ashley Hinton will sell directly to the public but it can be a slow, deliberate process. Requires patients and follow up on the buyers part.

Vintage may not be just "to the trade". I asked them for samples of their red and maroon vinyl cloth. Just got a response to say that the samples were on the way.
 
Sounds promising anyway. There site says trade, maybe they just mean that they will and can do wholesale.
 
Received leather grained vinyl samples from Vintage today. Five day turn around from the UK. Not bad. Here's the good news. Their red is an almost "dead on" for the original. Best match by far of all the samples I've received. I see an order in the near furture.
 
Not trying to be funny but how do you know what the orginals looked like. That was a long time ago and I would think everything faided etc.?

As I remember the orginals were very bright red?

Your point is well taken. I'm relying on a 2"x3" sample that I removed from the back side of the dash. Car had been in relatively dark dry storage since 1974. Based on that I believe it to be unfaded and close to original.
 
I bought some door safety straps from moss and I found them to be very dark. Not as I remember at all. Sigh.

Did you clean the dash peice, soap and water. I found the bits behind the dash to be very dark.
 
The pics in the moss catalog on page A11 seem to be about right to my eye, yep know they are printed.

Think that might be a very good idea Tony, if not a bother. Guess I can call tomorrow and ask for them.

The Moss door safety straps I got are too dark.

Note no safety straps on those doors.
