Post-War Other herald 13/60 light switch

Hi everyone. trying to sort out lack of lights on my Herald 13/60 and wanted to get at the main dash light switch to check the wiring. Switches have the T shape pulls - do they really just pull off or is there a cunningly hidden screw which I can't see fixing the plastic to the shaft. Its a very tight fit if it is friction only and I don't want to wreck anything by pulling too hard. Advice appreciated! thanks Mike

Welcome to the forum, Mike. I can't answer your question as I managed to get my lights sorted without removing the switch. I got at the back of the dash by removing the drivers seat. Quite comfortable back there once that's done. Also, do you have no lights at all? How about brake and directionals?

Mike, if indeed the "handle" comes off the switch at all (I'm not sure it does), there would be a little hole on the shaft. You would insert a small nail or pin to push up a spring-loaded button while pulling on the handle/knob. I'm pretty sure the choke cable, for example, is like that; again, I'm not sure about the electrical switches.
