Post-War Other Herald 13/60: I didn't get the battery tray quite right

Just happened upon this picture. It appears as though there is a plate on the bottom of the hold down bracket. Is that correct? (there was nothing left of mine to go by)



My battery sits right on the deck. Here's what's left of the old and the new hold down. I guess I need to add a bottom plate? Also wonder if there is supposed to be a lip on the aft end.

If you are talking about the bottom or floor of the battery tray, my guess is that is a rubber mat the battery sits in, that is how my TR250 was anyway.

It looks like there is no bottom tray, just like you have it.

Tom, if I get a chance this weekend, I'll see if I can get some photos for you. But I think you're ok, and I agree that there usually is/was some sort of rubber matting...but that's about it.
