Today my wife and I stopped in to see Allen Hendrix in Greensboro, NC. We were headed to Virginia from Florida and I had four wire wheels in the car to deliver to Allen. I purchased the Dayton chrome and stainless steel wheels from Allen in 2003 or 2004. So, twenty plus years ago he mounted some Michelin ZXs on those rims and shipped them to me. In 2015, those got replaced with Michelin XASs that Allen mounted, shaved, balanced and etc. Now he is mounting another set of XASs purchased from Longstone Tyres in the UK.
My reason for writing is not to share the news that I am getting new tires (a little overdue, actually). No, my reason for writing about this is to celebrate that at a time when it is so rare to be able to depend on consistent service quality from one company, with Hendrix Wire Wheel you not only get the same company, you also get the same consistently reliable Allen Hendrix. He has dedicated himself to serving the Healey ownerās community for a long, long time and we should recognize these rare people who have been there for us. Allen is the best. If you need wheels and tires, assorted special parts or maintenance services Allen is your man. It is worth the drive from Florida to Greensboro or from wherever you may live!
