Help with OEM Jaguar Parts ID

Hi
I was hoping someone on this list could direct me to some websites or other forms of information to help identify some British Leyland parts I have which I think some may be for Jag. Trying to find original BL part numbers search.
Any helpful info is greatly appreciated.

Well, it dosn't really work like that.XKs unlimited sort of uses real Jag part numbers. David manners in the UK, as well as Jagbits, (found as sponsoring site on this forum) use the real part numbers. The problem with this is that they only catalog and stock some parts. Fast selling parts, and some others... Jag published parts books until about 1990. Now CDs can be bought for each model car, but that can be a pricy way to go. How many parts do you have? If you want to put a list together and PM me, I will do what I can. I have good coverage for XJSs, series 2 and 3 XJ6s (and 12s), and given a little time, I have a friend that has parts books back to the 50s.He is not a computer guy though, so getting info to him takes a bit of time.

Hope you find something like that - I've got boxes of new OEM parts I acquired when a local shop went out of business due to death of owner.

Maybe you'll find some nice NOS goodies for your new XJ-6
in those boxes? So far I have only found a few items that will work
for my Spridgets and MGB's.

Yep, I've already found some stuff for my '85 XJ6 - haven't needed anything for the '87...I've got ned door handles, new taillihta, a new brake booster, plus all sorts of things in little OEM plastic bags...did find an entire head gasket set...& too much more to think about - stuff I have no clue about.
