Help! U-Haul trailer

Country flag
Offline
I am trying to take my car to the beauty shop and rented a U-haul trailer. The wheel base is close but should work but the ramp is too far apart. Has anyone had this problem? How did you solve it? The trailer is sitting in front of my house and costing me $.
Thank in advance.

I was able to use a U-haul rental trailer when I moved my Healey from Lafayette, Louisiana to Lakeland, Florida. Maybe you got the BIG trailer?

When I sold my 100/6 last fall the new owner showed up with a Uhaul two wheel "tow dolly". Barely narrow enough but he made it work and towed to his home 150 miles distant. Another option. Bob

It's the same width, I've checked all the U-Haul options. I'm trying for a flat bed tow truck. I had to put it off for a week so I'll keep you all posted. I trying to get my money back from U-Haul.

How far apart is too far? You may be able to put spacers between the wheel and the hub to gain an inch or so. It isn't like you are driving the car, so you shouldn't have to worry about damage to the hubs and wheels. You just need to drive the car on to the trailer.
