Help ordering brake lines for Bugeye

Hello,

I have decided to order the premade stainless steel brake lines for my 1960 Bugeye. A number of you suggested ordering brake lines from Classic Tube. I am having some problems figuring out which lines to order. I will be ordering the complete brake line kit, but this does not include the wheel cylinder lines. My car is stock, and the front brakes have transfer tubes between the wheel cylinders. Does the rear also have transfer tubes? Thanks,

Kevin

Drew just ordered a set yesterday for Tunebuggy his BE from those folks. I'm sure he can provide guidance. You'll have an answer soon.

I did just order a set a couple days ago. Give them a call, the guy was very knowledgeable and helpful. Tell him what you've got and he'll get you the right part. I wound up getting the set for the 1959 Sprite, and the clutch line. He did mention that the transfer tubes were separate, but as I've got discs on the front they weren't needed.

If I remember correctly, the rears don't have a transfer tube, as they have just a single slave cylinder. You'll need to order the front transfers.

Thanks for the help. Classic Tube did not seem real knowledgeable when I called, but I figured it was my job to know which lines I needed anyway. I am at work, couldn't remember my current set-up, and wanted to get these ordered today. I forgot there was only one cylinder in the back, so that information helped me finish the order. I just ended up buying the basic brake kit and then ordering a pair of the transfer tubes. After I get my brake lines in I can finally get my front susupension back together -Yeh!

Heh, guess who gave them all the info so they would have Bugeye lines to sell.

Miss Agatha did it. LOL

Glad you got it worked out -- maybe I just got lucky and got the one guy who knew?

I had mine made locally by Royal Brass and Hose. They did a great job.
