Help on wheels from the Sunbeam crowd

Hi folks.. I am looking at a set of either 13 x5 or 14 x5.5 inch Minilites that are made for the Alpine ( 13 ) or tiger (14 ).I understand the bolt circle is 4 on 4.25, which is the pattern I need for my Ford Cortina.

My question is can anybody tell me the offset of either of these two wheels, or better yet does anyone in my area ( west coast of British Columbia ) have either of these wheels that I can test fit.I'm worried about clearing my vented front rotor conversion,as well as the fenders of course.

Thanks..

I have a set of 8 spoke American Racing magnesium wheels on my Alpine. They are similar in appearance to Minilites. My wheels are 13x5. The back spacing is different front and back. The front is 4 1/4" the rears are 31/4". The rear spokes are flat, the front are slightly curved and interfere with the brake drums if installed on the rear. Ford Pinto wheels will fit an Alpine however they had 1/2" studs and the sunbeam has 7/16".

OHH good point, my stud size is 1/2 inch also.. I guess it's either drill em out or back to the hunt for the right wheels..

Thanks.. Very good info to know prior to a purchase!!

I had a set of Ford Pinto or Mustang II OEM wheels on my Alpine and then my Tiger when I first got it; they bolted up fine but offset was so far to outboard that they rubber the fender lips over any bumps in the road at all.

Thanks all, I found a set of RS alloys from England, so I'm not on the hunt any more. I know that these will fit!
