Help!. Need a part for a '77 1500 midget

well, spent the day today taking the entire front suspension off of my midget. All went real well, even got the fulcrum pins out without too much trouble (aren't southwestern cars great!).

Then, I noticed two LARGE cracks in one of the lower control arms (wishbones). So, does anyone have a good used lower contol arm for a 1500 Midget they can part with?

If so, please send me a message or you can e-mail me directly at autoracing1@cox.net.

Thanks all.

I found two uncracked ones after going through a stack of ten. This is one part you do not want to fail while on the road. You might bite the bullet and buy new from Moss via your favorite reseller.

I have only taken one to bare metal at this poing, maybe the second today. Did not see any cracks but then did not know where to look either. Ideas?

Most all of the cracks I found were at the fulcrum pin inserts. Some of the a-arms I rejected were not cracked but the fulcrum pin threads were badly worn. I certainly would not by a used one off e-bay. I might buy one from a fellow list member that cleaned it up and looked for cracks. Just my 2 cents.

oh no, no eBay for these. Was/am cleaning and checking the two that came on the car. See no reason to change em if they are ok.

Little car will not be raced or driven on the interstate so all should be good.

We have a pothole problem here that is causing me problems. And... for some reason I can't keep the bump stops under the front shock arms in place. I've glued them, tried putting screws in them, and I keep losing them. What size are those holes supposed to be? Maybe mine are too large.
