Hey, I found this on ebay and they say it is believed to be mk3 top for a spitfire... they provide some measurements, can anyone tell me if this is in fact a mk3 top? Thanks!

I don't think so. The description mentions a "header rail bolt pattern"; note that there does not seem to be a header rail present. But I could be wrong....
