help me id these cars please

I'd guess the HBJ7 car is a 1963 and the other a bit earlier
Maybe you could check with the BJ7 Registry for help.
As I understand it, that is one of the raison d'etre for the Registry. See the link at the top of the page for contact information.

If I am reading the good book correctly, the BJ7 is a mk 2 convertible late 62 as the last chassis number quoted for the year was 21782 and the BT7 is a mk 2 and would be late 1961 as the last number for that year was 17126
Hope this helps

Bob

Hi Soren
I bought a 3000MK111 this year and pretty much for the same reasons as you. My other car is an MGA and I wanted to be able to share some of the fun with my family. Have you said what your budget is? It seems that over here you can get a 3000 for anything from about ÂŁ15,000 although at that price you're likely to have taken on a rolling restoration. I bought mine directly from the USA having had it inspected before purchase and then shipped it over without ever seeing it. I would suggest looking at this as an option although taxes may be an issue in the final cost of things. Am I right in saying that you have massive import duties in Denmark ? I also recently saw on Ebay a 3000 which needs engine work (but does have an engine) with a start price of ÂŁ11,500 with no bidders so far. This car looks quite nice but without looking at every car in detail you don't know if it's got fibre glass body panels etc.
Good luck anyway Mike

Pull up SC Parts or AH Spares on the web, both are in England, but SC parts have two places in Europe, one in Gemany and I think the other is in the Netherlands some where. Get their catalogues, SC parts is great as it shows every single component in exploded views, but they may not all be available, AH Part's is OK too and gives prices in ÂŁ. These people may have engines available for refurbishment, AH Spares in particular, they may be from the old Westminster or the big Wolsely cars and you should check the true source if that is the way you want to go but if they are not Healey engines they can be brought upto spec. Bill Rawles in Hampshire buys these types in and referbs them for clients, so it is possible. He is also a good contact on the web.
