Hey folks this came through my e-mail today, thought I'd post it here, text as follows:

Bill Krone of Burlingame suggested your group may be able to help locate a
vehicle formerly owned by the late Leon Mandel (publisher of AutoWeek). The
car is a 1959 MGA twin cam coupe raced at Sebring and driven/owned by Leon
for approximately one year while he was an employee of S&V Motors,
Burlingame CA. According to interviews done decades ago, he briefly raced
the car and then sold it. It was subsequently lost to followup. I have
both the VIN and CA plate number from 1959 or 60 but have been unable to
trace the vehicle from CA DMV. [I have the e-mail address, I'll past it along to anyone who thinks they can help specifically]

I took the liberty to send this to the twin cam group & this is their answerFrom: mgatwincam@yahoogroups.com

Subject: Re: Twin Cam - British Car Forum -tracking a twincam-can anyone help?

Several of us have been chasing this car for years. In fact, Michael Eaton
and I have exchanged several e-mails on the topic this week.

Michael's research suggests that at least two of the 1959 Sebring coupes were
driven back to CA following the race. Leon's was one of them. I ran a photo
of Leon racing the car in Volume 29, number 1 of Automobile Quarterly about
15 years ago and the obit of Leon in AutoWeek showed him with the car.
