I am trying to identify this british car,
they have it in the Ford section at the junkyard.
I got a Smiths Speedo and gauges out of it
before anyone could trash it. Ic ould not find a vin tag, or
any emblems to give me a hint. It has a fresh 302 in it that was rebuilt and never run, Hot Rod project gone sour.
Any Hints on what it is?

Close - it's a Ford Zephyr Zodiac - they came with a
6 cylinder engine. The Zodiac was a more deluxe version of
the Zephyr.Consuls had a 4 cylinder engine.Notice that the
front fenders are longer in the front than the Consul.
I parted one of those out years ago,& a friend of mine
owns one up in Washington state.

Didn't Ron and Harry land that car in the Whomping Willow?...... (I know, Not quite)

I only just read this, but I knew the answer too, darn work! :hammer: Especially work that keeps me away from a computer all day... Anyway, what was the prize for the right guess?

It's quite common to transplant a Ford V8 into the Brit Fords, here's a local Zephyr Mk 1 with a V8, yeah that's RHD, the owner moved here from England and brought his car with him...

Dave,

What's the name of that wrecking yard,& where is it located?
I'll put the word out to English Ford owners who might be looking
for parts.

And I read these posts and just wish for cars like that in a pick and pull yard near here.

Located in LAncaster California,
50 miles NE of Los Angeles at the
Ecology Wrecking yard.
I got the gauges and wanted to know
how to list them for the car they came out of.
Got some old Smiths Gauges now.
