Help - hub splines

I just received my new wire wheels and hubs. One of the hubs has some slight damage to the splines. I need to know if I should send it back for another one or not. Basic feeling is that I paid for a good hub and I should get one without damage, but I've already waited so long and I'm so anxious to get the new wheels/tires on my car that I hate to delay if it isn't necessary. Can anyone tell me if this hub looks like it should be replaced or not before putting a brand new wheel on it?

Thanks!

I'd send it back. It looks like it is going to scrape the spline on the wheel. Every time you remove the wheel your going to damage another portion of wheel spline when you replace it or rotate your wheels.

Thanks, I had pretty much decided that was the case, but just wanted an opinion from someone with more experience than I have.

Yeah, me too - I'd send it back for an undamaged one.

you can,and i have dressed damaged splines many times befor with great success,of course they had already been around a while, not new.for the kind of bucks one shells out for new parts, they should come over with tea and crumpets and install the darn things for you, send it back!
