Help! - Hardtop seals - need assistance

We've had a bit of weather here in my area and the snow that accumulated on the soft top of my Midget melted and somehow the seats and all inside ended up pretty wet.

I decided it was high time to install the hardtop.

So I brought it in and started looking it over and well, the seals - especially the front seal along the top of the windshield is pretty shot.

It is all still in one piece but it isn't in great shape.
There's rot along the surface that mates to the top of the windshield frame and the corners look pretty bad.

I'd like to get this on the car today, there is a hardware store literally across the street from my house. Is there anything I might get there and apply to the seals to get one more season out of them?

That one is pretty standard most anywhere....just take a piece of the old one to match.

Thanks Tony - but where?

"also ch..." what?

I got some LEXEL sealant, pulled the side channels off, cleaned up all the old sealant and then sealed it up and refastened it all.
I also used the LEXEL to bond the old front seal back on.
This LEXEL is good stuff, supposed to set up down to 0 degrees F.

For those who leave their soft top on and put the hard top over, do you remove the strip in the back? Does your top fit over?

Maybe it's just too cold out there, but the back isn't sitting down like it did before. Last time I used it I removed the soft top and frame completely. This time I folded the top down and put the hardtop over.
