Help! Front lowering rubber stop problem

Am in the process of redoing the front end with all new urethane bushings as well as lowering the 76B all around 1". I consulted the Knowledge Base Article about the bump stop mod needed when using the shorter front coils. New refurbished shocks and bump stops, however, don't line up. Do I have to do some major bending of the bump stop (about an inch) in order to get the stops lined up with the shock arm bumper plaate. Needs to be pulled out. I have attached the bottom nuts because it looks like it might be easier to pull out the top with one hellacious big bar. Can anybody help?
Also, I'm putting a sway bar on the front. Is there a distance like the one called for for B's up to 74 1/2 from the center to where the stops are supposed to go?
Thanks

Did you move the spacer for your bumpstop from the bottom to the top,and did you cut them in two to fit.also vicky brit sells lowered bumpstops. good luck!
