My name is Robert, and I have an addiction. I can't wait til this weekend so I can work on my car again. I very much enjoy driving it, but for some reason lately I can never wait until the next time I can work on it.

It's an illness... please help!

Can't see as how I can be much help. I'm between jobs right now, which has its good and bad points. One of the good points is that I can work on the car about any time I want to. I'm determined to get it right before I get another job.

Help! Last time I looked there were almost 7500 others on this site with exactly the same affliction. This, of course, means you are in exclusive and reknowned company. LBC really means Little Broken Car therefore you must fix. When we buy these things we are prediposed to repair before every cruise. Now I think that is rather Quaint.
Dave
P.S. Don't ask what quaint means.

I'm working all this week. There are numerous projects going on in the garage and you are welcome to work on any of them while I am away. Drinks are in the fridge.

What I want to know is....now that mine runs so beautifully, why am I looking at other wrecks to frustrate over? I have one to drive and its not enough? I miss my nights in the garage.

The LBC Ownership Axiom:

My British car is not running and hasn't done so in quite some time.

I ought to sell it, but its not worth much if it isn't running so... I need to get it running to sell it...

Ah, it so much fun to drive the car again... I really can't sell it now, its running so well...

It quit working, I really should sell it, but its not worth much when its not running. I ought to get it running again....

Robert: You're singing to the choire. I mean, we all
want help! Can't you just hear us screaming? I mean,
we can't get enough, right? Hey, when not much else is
going on in the way of painting or installing parts, we're
at the pub whining about it. Sorry, buddy, but misery
loves company.

Rob! On a brighter note: you could have got tangled up with boats or aircraft!

...or *gasp* Porches -- be happy! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/devilgrin.gif

Not necessarily before every cruise, but certainly more often than not while on a cruise. Two vitals for any cruise: a tool kit and a box of likely parts that one may need "on the road"! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbsup.gif

heh ... funny you mention Porsches ... I have a fellow car guy co-worker that recently acquired a '74 Porsche 914. I've challenged him to a drag race, but he hasn't seen his car since he got it over 6 weeks ago. It's been in the shop getting 'put right' since day one. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smirk.gif

By the time he gets his car, I think I'll have that HS6 rebuilt and installed with headers on my car... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif
