Hello. Newbie here.

Lots of those items I have used.

Jon,

Welcome. Glad to have you here.

Sounds like you have a lot of missing parts...I would source a donor car if I were you (if you had the room)--much cheaper than buying all new (or used piece-by-piece, for that matter). 66' Sprites are pretty reasonable, I believe (although some may disagree).

As for hard to come by parts (there are some, esp for some earlier sprites)--check back here at that time. We all have "hidden gem sources"...

I'll have you know I consider myself, Tony, and the "others" here as ~CONSERVATORS~!!!!

hehehehe

Welcome! Now that you've been bit by the LBC bug, good luck to you, and remember: It's a chance to prove how good you are with mechanical problems. You'll eventually solve them all, and the pride that comes with that no one can ever take away.

...I think we skeert 'im off...

Jon?

Jon?

You there? /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

Welcome, Jon, from another Michigander. I'm about an hour and a half south of you, and if you need any "hands on" advice, I'm always up for a road trip.
And yes, I DO know these cars upside down!

/bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/lol.gif Makes me think of my many rollover incidents in Minis when I was in England. Even when you know them upside down, don't you hate it when that happens? /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/lol.gif Plus I imagine spridgets are harder to turn back over, you would probably need 6 guys as compared with the usual 3 for a mini /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

Hey sorry I havn't been back to the forum. My first step in getting to work on the car was cleaning out of the garage from MANY of the small winter projects my dad and I had been working on.

Bugeye58; that would be great. I have never seen a complete car, so I am sure I will have a ton of questions, and if I am ever in need of some help, I will let you know!

I have a webpage for pictures, and as the restoration goes on, I will be taking pictures HOPEFULLY every day to show my progress. Depending on time, some days.. I may get a lot done, other days.. maybe not as much.

Here is the website that has the pictures of the Healey, along with other pictures of Misc. things lol.

This is the color that my uncle wants it painted as of right now /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif I really don't like it, and hopefully he changes his mind, but we'll see. Anyone else have pictures of any OTHER green Sprites you could post? /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Well Check back to my website often, hopefully things will get done as quick as I'd like them to.

The hardest part is disassembly. Then the fun begins.

I think that color should actually look pretty good on a Spridget! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbsup.gif

Looks pretty solid, you should have it finished in a couple weeks...

Look in the "members pictures" section and you will find a few different green cars there!
