I've been in Las Vegas, the Colorado River and now Phoenix for the last 3 days. Was with my oldest son tracking some little sucker fish that he implanted radio transmitters in and released back in the river. We were down at the base of the Hoover dam with a large boat and submergeable radio receiver trying to locate these little things. Finally found one back near the base camp. Cold.

What does this have to do with Triumphs? Not a thing, just thought I would report in from a coffee shop in Tempe.

Actually, I understand there are a few shops in the area that have some TRs for sale, according to my son. Thought we would go search them out.

It's hard to stay away from BCF for too long.

Any forum members in the Phoenix area?

Hey Bill I have a aunt in Glendale but she would just talk your ears off. She use to drive an MG anyway so I don't know how much fun that would be.

My architect buddy Luis Huertas lives in Phoenix.
Go over and say howdy. His wife is lazy but she
can cook up storm if you get her off her duff! LOL

My aunt lives in Tempe, as did my grandma until she died a week short of 109y a couple of years ago. Sister and family in Gilbert. None are TR buffs though! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazyeyes.gif Sounds like a great trip Bill! No place on earth like the Southwest.

If you have some time to kill stop by 'Coventry Motors' on 4723 N.12th St. in Phoenix. It's a small family owned Brit car mechanical shop. The owner use to work at the Triumph plant and is a real character not to mention brilliant on Tr's. Fun to chat with and if you are driving your 6 he'd love to see it.

I'm down the road about 90 miles on the far NW side of Tucson (Marana). Only BritCar event this weekend was our Holiday party tonight.

Always several LBCs for sale around here including a couple of pretty nice 6's at the moment. Also a couple of shops -- one that's honest, friendly and competent and one other one.

All -- If you find you will be in the Tucson area this winter by all means let me know. We have several driving events every month and a couple of big car shows too. This is prime season for our cars here -- so if we don't have anything planned for the week you're here I will try to make something happen.
