I am just joining BCF. I have a small car collection which I work on and drive regularly. I studied mechanical Engineering and then Science, majoring in Engineering and then Chemistry. I have a good mechanical workshop with 5 lathes of various sizss and ages, 2 universal mills, grinders, shaper, 4 drills including a 6 foot radial, welders etc etc. So I guess I collect old machine tools too!
My cars are 1930 Model A Roadster, 1931 Model A Tudor, 1950 Riley RMB, 1952 RMB-2, 1953 Alvis TA21 3 litre, 1962 Jaguaf Mark2 3.8 litre (MOD), 1966 Jaguar Mark 2 4.2 litre automatic. The latter is still a non- running project from a previous owner. I also have a 2000 Harley Road King, a 1980 Honda 750F2 and a 1966 BSA 175cc Bushman.
I have recently been forced to semi retire and hand my two chemical manufacturing companies to my youngest son Philip. "Forced" due to advancing decrepitude at age 81. Mainly arthritis, making getting under cars impossible. Luckily I have a number of car hoists! I can only use my 4 posts and scissors lifts though, since 2 posters involve getting down to place lifter blocks.
I guess that's enough about me. Maybe too much?
All the best

Stuart - welcome to BCF. I sure wish I lived closer to New Zealand, so I could see those wonderful cars you have.

What got you interested in collecting?

My only NZ connection is my 1957 Morris Minor, which was assembled, and first sold, in New Zealand - to a couple who eventually (in the 1980s) moved to Canada, then to the US.

Welcome to another kiwi to join the British Car Forum. You have a beautiful collection of cars!
You live in a beautiful part of the world. Auckland is a wonderful city; I've been there twice and would love to get back.
