Hello from new member in Cockeysville, MD [BN6]

Hello to everyone at the BCF. My name is John. I have owned 1958 BN6L1915 for about 5 years. I am in Cockeysville, MD just north of Baltimore. The Healey is in very nice shape but I can't take credit for that, credit goes to the previous owner. Because of work on the house, the car has spent far too much time sitting and too little driving and although it ran great 2 years ago, after sitting it is not running very well. My goal is to get it back in good running shape and keep it that way.
I have been reading the forum and I'm very impressed both by the depth of knowledge and good nature of the participants. I'll be asking for help as I go along and hope eventually to be able to contribute as I gain some experience. Unfortunately, I'm a better theoretical than practical mechanic. Even for jobs that I know how to do, I spend far too much time thinking or standing in the garage staring. I'm more used to working on cars where a belt buckle on the fender wouldn't be a big deal.

Welcome John! We have a very active Healey forum her, so you'll fit right in.

:savewave: Welcome!

Welcome there John;
I also have a BN6......
Great ole car.
I plan on being up in your area in a week....
Hope the weather is better than ours.. too much smoke out in this part of the U.S.

Hi John, and welcome to the Forum! :savewave: We're just a little north of you, in New Market, Md. We have a BN4 100-6, very much like your BN6, only with the rear seats. A good resource for you would be Healey Surgeons, over in Takoma Park, outside of DC. Not really that far from you. Lots of luck!

Larry
