Hi Everyone,
I’ve just joined the forum and wanted to say a quick hello!
My name is Bauly, I'm from England and my car is a 1974 Triumph TR6.
Like many of us, my Father started me off with a love affair (obsession!) with all things ‘cars’.
His first car was a Triumph Monte Carlo – he would often tell grand survival stories of crossing the Alps in this car (in deepest winter!). My mum would retell of having to put up with him laying out every part of the gearbox in sequence around the skirting board of the living room…!
….years later, and now lucky enough to own a TR6, I too now find myself with all manner of car parts strategically strewn across the house… These are usually well organized, up until my 3 year old decides to rearrange them, or indeed hide them. But he loves the car too (nothing to do with me!) and let’s hope the next generation still get to enjoy these car's oily, leaky, unreliable wonderfulness.
The TR6 is in good shape and runs and drives well. However, with an interest and career in Engineering, I can’t help wanting to re-engineer the things I think could be a little better on the car.
I look forward to creating new memories with the car, and time permitting, engineer some nice components for the car too.
Thanks and nice to meet you all,
Cheers,
Bauly
