Good day all,

Just wanted to stop in and say a quick hello. I have always been interested in cars all types makes models etc. I have rebuilt several American cars. My first was a 1963 Nova SS then I did a 66 Chevy Pickup. My latest is a 1993 Mustang.

The reason I have joined, other than wanting to learn about some of the British cars, is that I have recently discovered a Truimph TR6 that has been sitting in an old car dealer garage since 1992. The car is definately in need of a reto but everything seems to be there. I think I may be able to picked it up for cheap money.

:savewave: Welcome to the best forum in town! Used to live in Worcester County many moons ago.

:savewave:Hello, and welcome to the Forum! Go buy that TR6!

Hi There Smugglers Blues,

"Welcome" to the Wonderful World of LBCs (Little British Cars). Best wishes on acquiring the TR6. They are (In my opinion); The "Muscle Car" of LBCs.

Regards, Russ

Wish I had it now...

Where in Worcester County? I'm in Central Mass. Thanks for the welcome everyone. I was going to check on the car today but I didnt get a chance. I will keep you posted.

I lived in Spencer, North Brookfield and Barre. Husband is from Worcester. And your town would be??? If it can't be a Healey, yes go get that TR6. An LBC is still an LBC and they don't get any better. Do you think I might be partial???

No kidding, I live in North, grew up here. I've never even driven an LBC but I love all cars so I figure with the gas prices constantly climbing why not try something other than a thirsty V8. My 66 that I built had a 454 that got 6mi to a gallon.

Welcome aboard ! I live down in RI myself, but there are a lot of people from new england here on the forums. I'm in the middle of a complete frame off every nut and bolt restoration on a TR6 that I picked up early last summer. You can check out my thread in the triumph forum.

A stock TR6 will get you around 24 mpg, not bad, not great, but perfectly adequate =)

Welcome!

I am in Hopkinton.

I have an almost completely original TR6 just down the road, it would be a good reference for your restoration.

Keep us posted.

Rgds, w
