Howdy folks, wanted to say hello on joining the forum, this appears to be an active British car site, a welcome find.
I have a 78 B with a 76 motor and radiator (no electric fans)
My wife bought the orig 76 in about 78 then about 81 rust brought on the switch to the 78 body, which she got thru working for an insurance co (one of what sounds like several 78 engine fires).
We have had this car nearly forever. I have not been driving the car much the last few yrs since my wife passed. But decided to start driving it more so that brings us to today, car runs great, webber (the lowley down draft progressive), header, no smog stuff, Great solid car!!
I have always worked on it, a bit out of practice over the last 6 -7 yrs used to know it by heart but she has been in indoor storage. Getting back at it car needs to be driven and freshen up a few things (A arm bushings, have a set of V8 MG / Rover ones that have been aging in the tool cabinet!)
I enjoy sports cars in general motorcycles have a couple of fairly early BMW's (1 driver 83 R100 RS, 1 project 74 R75)
Also a fan of the earlyer Porsches (aircooled) either 4 or 6 cyl. Other forums I belong to most of my time is spent in the help sections, at this point with the MG and being out of touch lately I am sure I may be asking more than helping.
Just wanted to say hello and if anyone is in or traveling thru western North Carolina drop me a note.
Regards
