Had a 73 B back in 1979, got it all fixed up then got transfered to CA so I sold it along with three other cars I owned at the time. I now have a 1974 B roadster I won on Ebay nearly four years ago. Have spent over $5K in parts alone and have been having the time of my life both working on it and driving it all over the place. I average between 100 and 150 mi. per week. Like most B's it's a driver, as it should be. I also spent 2 years as a part time mechanic in a British sports car shop in Syracuse NY while going to college. I've been out of touch with these old motors but I'm currently building a 68 5 main motor to swap in so I can rebuild the 74 motor at my leisure and still be able to drive the B.
 
I checked out the MGB car nuts website. It's great!. I'll be spending a little more time there. I read one man's story about a one day adventure with Cedric. Sounds like it's in your back yard.
