I’m a recently (2+ Yrs ago) retired SoCal guy who got a TR3 to restore about 3 years ago, and it’s sooo close to being finished – a few weeks away. It was supposed to be a 1959 car (TS52897L) but my guess is that only the body sheet metal is 1959. I expect most of the other parts are TR2 or early TR3 (engine number TS 7131 E, one piece steering column, banjo connectors on the SU float chambers, pre TS13045 Lockheed brake system, etc.) I did about 95% of the restoration myself and learned a few things along the way – enough to be dangerous compared to some to the TR people I’ve met of the past few years.

Hi Mike, and welcome!

I am very near finishing a 2 year rebuild of my TR4a, so we may be able to compare notes on the experience when we're both done.
I always envy you California guys the combination of weather and great driving roads you have access to; I am sure you'll have a wonderful time!
