My first British car was a used '67 MGB in college and the transmission broke in my first week. With a little help, I fixed it myself and I drove it daily for several years. About 20 years later when it became time to have a big toy, I noticed someone offering this nice-looking BJ8 in town and bought it. It ran fairly well but I have been renewing and perfecting various mechanicals over the years since then including front and rear suspensions, steering box leak, rear axle hub leaks, calipers and brake booster, carburetors, exhaust system. Now I'm addressing all that oil dripping off the bottom of the entire drivetrain and I suspect the front crankshaft oil seal or perhaps the oil pan casket is the culprit. I appreciate the discussion on the dog nut and timing chain cover that I found here. Maybe I can even share expertise someday. Thanks for having me.

Welcome to the gang and invest in a bag of OILDRY! Time is our friend when preserving a bit of road history. Baby steps and make a list!

Happy to have you aboard! Nice looking Healey - and by the way we have a very active Healey forum here.

Thanks. I usually take on one or two repair issues each year and I will certainly be looking for advise.
