Is there a remotely operated heater valve that will fit a TR3A?
I'd like to install one that can be worked from inside with a control cable.
 
The TR4-6 valve should work as a replacement; although you'll probably need the 45 degree street ell to connect it to the head, and do something creative with the water line.

Another thought might be keep the TR3 valve under the hood; and add an in-line valve where the hose comes through the dash (on either side). Lots of Chrysler products in the 60s and 70s used in-line valves with 1/2" hose barbs. Try a 65 Dodge Dart.
 
I like Randall's idea. That TR3A control in brass with a green knob is so distinctive it would be a shame to not see it in place even if one is not concerned about originality.

Haven't looked but wouln't be surprised to see a suitable valve at Ace or the Home Depot.

I doubt you'll find anything setup for remote control with a cable; although I suppose it would be possible to add a cable to a 1/4 turn ball valve.
In case it's not clear, the Dodge/Plymouth/Chrysler valves were remote control, and IMO worked far better than the TR4-6 valve, even when new. If cost is an issue, you could probably source one easily from your local "pull yer own" junkyard. Just walk through the D/P/C section until you see what you want. They almost never failed; I think my 71 Valiant still had it's original valve when I junked it in 87.
