While repairing choke cable(s) on the AH 300 BJ7, it was a good opportunity to finally complete the heater box assembly with functional components. Question: What is the order for assembling the heater control valve? There are two fat O-rings, threaded base plate and the control valve, all of which attaches to the heater core port.

Moss diagram shows an O-ring on heater core port, then the base plate followed by the second O-ring, then the control valve? Any clarification from the group would be very helpful.. Thanks, GONZO:encouragement:

I just replaced mine on a BT7 and it took only the single o-ring on the heater core outlet pipe that the valve bolts to. I can't think of a place to put the other o-ring.

OKay, called BSC for definitive answer. Lower O-ring is for "sealing the box from air leakage", second O-ring seals adapter and heater control valve on pipe "seals from coolant leakage". Buttoning things up this weekend. Thanks Rob for reply.
