Heater Control Cable

Can you use a control cable from a bicycle shop on the round knob heater controls? If so what length should I be looking for?

If you can find a solid wire one with the right spiral OD sheath to fit the clamping device it may work. Bike cables are multi-strand and don't work well when "pushed" though. All are for tension IIRC. Think Granger, lawnmower controls. Solid wire.

Your favorate auto store should have the solid cables, known as Choke cables in the trade, come in about 6 foot lengths.

Just the thing to replace the heater switch cable.
