Heater cable

My old heater control was missing the cable out of it. I got creative and took some heavy bike cable and soldered a bit on the control end to attach it inside the mechanism. This works well and seems to be solid enough. Now what I am stuck with is attaching the distal end of the cable to the control arm on the box. I assume they originally had some form of clamping bolt you slid the wire through, but this is long gone. Has anyone else devised a way to attach the cable to the control that is dependable?

yes they did and they are available from VB.

Oh yea you can replace the whole heater cable with out problem. New cable and sheath, choke cable. from autozone.

Jack-Perfect timing, as I need a cable too. I'll swing by this evening on the way home and pick one up. Thanks.
