heater box drain tube

Yup, best way is to lay under the car when its on stands, reach way up around the tranny, grab the end of it and pull the bulb off. Never plug up again and you'll never know the difference except your car won't get flooded when it rains. Seriously, the bulb is designed to catch dirt, plug up and make MG owners angry. One of the first things I do to every MGB I get is pull the bulb off.

When you crawl under the car to clean the drain, and you have to poke it with a rod or wire to break loose the dirt, make sure your face is out of the way. Now ask me how I know this! Hmmmm. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif PJ

Just cleaned my bulb, then came back here to see if I did it right. Hmmm. Guess I'll just pull the bulb off after all. It was really full of what looked like AZ dirt.

Thanks for the warning, Paul. Because of you I used a full-face mask and saved myself a faceful.
