This is currently being auctioned on eBay. Cracked me up and makes me think that these two previous owners also had a hand in my Healey's body work in the past.

This is a hood for an Austin Healey 3000. I got this in a huge buyout of parts from a couple of friends of mine. This came off of a car in Iowa in the mid 70's. The picture speaks for itself. Now for the bad news. Clown number 1 cut a hole in the center of the hood for an air filter for a V-8 conversion. Clown number 2 patched the hood with a circular piece of sheet metal. It was butt-welded. Actually, Clown 2 didn't do too bad of a job with no sheet metal warping. Still the hood had been molested. Also, it has a twist in it and a couple of dents. If you are good with a hammer and dolly, you can hammer this thing out and get it to work. It will be a challenge though. If you don't want to use this on a car then lash a rope around the front end and let your kids use it as a saucer to go sledding this winter. Good luck bidding, buyer pays shipping. Paypal accepted. No reserve, garage cleaning time by order of the little woman!
