My front sidelights do not sit flat on the front of my healey, more nose in slightly towards the grille, is this correct or should they be flat looking from the side of the car if that makes sense.
It's as if the wings are slightly forward a bit but everything else lines up.

They should sit flat. It sounds like your fenders are not properly aligned with the shroud. Check and see if they are lined up correctly.

Even if the seam is matching up, if the shroud is not properly positioned, the lower front tip of the fenders have to be pulled back to get them to line up with the shroud. This deflection causes the face of the front fender to angle in towards the grill. So make sure the shroud is where it should be in relation to the frame and then line up the fenders.

If all that sounds like too much work and you really don't care, then make a thin shim and put it under the shroud side of the light.
