I got an e-mail from Denis Welch Motorsport the other day with two items of interest.

First is an in-Healey video of Jeremy and Denis racing in the rain at Donington Park. I had to let it download in the background for quite a while with my sound on mute or it would stop every few seconds to catch up. Slippery!

The second, and topic of this post, is that they are recreating the 1954 Bonneville record car. You may have heard that "on Aug 23rd 1954, supervised by the American Automobile club the car set 83 National and International Class D records driven by Donald Healey, George Eyston, Carroll Shelby, Mort Goodall and Roy Jackson-Moore. A 24-hour average speed of 132.29 mph was achieved."

They will attempt to break this record with a car that matches the original as much as possible.

This will give you a good look at the recreated car, especially on the road.

john turney, watched that a few days ago very cool, that four cyl. does growel, scared me a bit on what seemed to be a local road though.
