Hi all,
My sister called me yesterday to see if I wanted another TR4. She previewed an upcoming estate sale in her neighborhood, saw a TR4 for sale and immediately thought I might be interested.
Well, I really don't have room for another project right now, but emailed the seller to try to get additional info. Haven't heard back from him, but a member of another TR discussion group has seen the car and photographed it, and has posted pictures of the car and info at https://www.newellboys.com/tr4project.html
Actually, this appears to be parts from two TR4s. One early 1961 car and another from late 1962 or early 1963. My sister and the other TR enthusiast were both impressed at how well it runs, but one look at the pictures will tell you there is still some work needed to put the car back on the road.
Asking price sounds reasonable at $2750, for a partially completed restoration, although I don't know if that includes all the spare parts.
Hopefully this car will end up in the hands of a TR enthusiast and get properly completed. I understand the seller will have an ad in one or both of the Denver newspapers this weekend, possibly today. I believe the seller is in the Littleton area.
I have no financial interest in or personal knowledge of the car or seller.
Cheers!
