I'm putting a set of flat-faced plastic (?) lensed headlights in the dune buggy; these things have 10 LEDs in the bottom that I'll wire in to the turn signals as my current ones are quite low to the ground. I understand that the lens material tends to chip with rocks hitting, plus cost 70 bucks each. I've heard of some sort of clear film to put over the lens but don't know where to locate it; and does anyone know where to pick up the good old wire mesh type stone guards for headlights?
Thanks,
Doug

3M makes the stuff you're after. It's really big in BMW CCA world. Good stuff but I don't know if it'll make that much of a compound curve. Some folks call it clear bra. Call your BMW or MB dealer. They usually have a guy that comes out and does it. Ol' wire meshies should be avalible from JC Whitnney, out of any Hot Rod or VW mag.

Check w/ these guys: https://www.clearmask.com/lightgard.php

I had my Jag done with the clear film.
The local window tint shop did it. You can not tell the lights are covered and it has been 2 years now.
