Headlight differences

The Moss catalog lists 2 different headlight assemblies for Bugeyes split by car #.

Does anyone know the difference between these two?

If I buy an entire assembly, does it matter which I buy? In other words, are the entire assemblies interchangeable, but if you're only buying a piece, you have to buy the piece that's correct for your assembly?

Thanks,
Ed

Yes, the entire assemblys are interchangable.
Early Sprites used the 3 adjuster bucket.
Later used the 2 adjuster bucket which I think is a better setup. Just make sure you get the buckets, lamp retainer ring, and trim rings as a set.

Ahhh, trim rings are different. Later models are smaller in Dia. in my experience. Not smaller by much but just enough to be a real pain to make the late trim fit on the early.
