TR2/3/3A Headlight choices, Carillo shells

My TR3 came with Carillo shells that take bulb inserts. Is anybody familiar with these shells? Can I put H4 bulbs in there? They are all glass built and are probably from the late 60-70s. Used in a lot of Ferraris and Alfas during that time period.

I haven't, but it should be easy enough to try an H4 bulb and see what happens. It's usually pretty obvious if they are right or not. If you don't have an H4 bulb handy, then look for the 3 slots, one wider than the other two and unevenly spaced; plus the 3 prong plug like a regular headlight bulb.
