Good luck, have a great trip and keep making updates.

Fantastic! Have a great trip, though I am pretty sure the centre console cup holder goes in the car, not in the trunk, otherwise you spill your coffee.

No need for a shower. First rain squall, you'll get washed...and then some.

i have a terrible tendency to lose them like a kid loses teeth. cup holders are a luxury and took away from the bare bones feel i enjoy of these cars. Unfortunately i did not take enough time to go through the car before heading out. Motor seized. As I am over budget already, and been away for two thirds of my new marriage, im having it towed back to syracuse as I head home.

Uh-oh! Wha' hoppen?

Not what I was expecting....

Well #%?! that's not what we wanted to hear. What happened?

Don't know about you guys but I think I needed a program for this skit

hahaha. well shoe string budget and a rush job. you would think I have learned that lesson by now. My gages periodically work and drop off like a bad ground. (all but my tach and speedo, those are in a world all there own.) I added grounds so thats not the problem and this part plays a small but vital role. So about four pm I was driving west on 90 and was bummed I forgot to put some cardboard over the radiator so i pulled over at a stop and asked a restaurant for some. they cut a piece to order and I used some gorilla tape to install. Intsa heat running down the highway! I felt so good about that small win i overlocked the high pitch scream of my belt. "I dont think I could have made that much tighter and feel comfortable about it" I thought to myself. Heading up a hill I thought i heard a bit to much clicking from the valves. Well about twenty min later I lost heat. I figured my card board slipped off as i also could smell the tape cooking on the radiator. Within a few min of loosing heat I lost power from the motor and stalled. I tried to turn it well still rolling and it acted like a dying battery.... On the side of the road under the hood i see milky white "smoke" pouring from the valve cover....

from what I experienced it seems like my water pump failed and i blew my head gasket.
