Headers on ebay

[ QUOTE ]
Dennis Welch seems to think differently. On his site he says the headers will give the single biggest improvement in power for the money spent.

Hi Derek,
If you read carefully, you will see that DW's statement seems to actually refer to something else. The web site & the catalog are screwed up. I don't think this statement even goes with the headers. Especially when the same part is shown for both twin & triple SU carbs. Not sure what it goes with?

"The twin carb manifold will make the single most increase in power & torque possible for the money spent to a standard car." "CEXS120 twin & tripple SU carb - CEXS120R triple Weber carbs"

This is strictly my interpretation of the situation. What do you think?
Regards,
D

Hi Dave

Yes I just re=read it and I see what you mean, it is a bit confusing. He does refer to the manifolds so I cant see that hes talking about any other part that would give this power increase. Your question is ..why does the power increase claim refer only to the twin carb manifold when the twin and triple SU manifold is the same part!!!.. err ..good question. Dont know. Maybe I dont want to know!

Actually...maybe Ill write and ask him,,Ill let you know

He does warn people that unless they have a BJ8 they will have to modify the frame....but..I have a Jule BJ8 frame on my 100-Six and it still needed a small piece cutting out.

I agree, the wording is confusing. When I bought my headers they asked what kind of carbs I would be using. If I remember correctly, the headers for the webers come off the head horizontally for a few inches before curving down under the car. The header for the SUs turn down immediately. The headers for the SUs should work with anything.
