Gents, did anybody of you think about a heat protection of the legroom? In particular in summer days the legroom is getting very hot due to the heat of the engine. Most of the time this is very uncomfortable.

Best would be a removavle solution, since I like the warm legroom in colder days ;-)

Now Available - Dynamat Kits
A.H. Spares are pleased to announce that we are now the stockists of Dynamat; the only name professionals trust for soundproofing their vehicles. It is recognised the world over as a quality solution to noise and vibration which is great when restoring classic cars to provide you with a more solid and quieter feel.

In addition to insulation, put a bright light in the engine compartment and see if you see any light inside the passenger compartment. You need to make sure all openings between the two are closed.

Keoke - you are a wag!

But how about turning the heater on in winter - never had to use mine so do not know how effective it is

Try Dynamat. Its effective and simple to install.
Dynamat is a sound deadener, not sure if it has much insulating effect.

Personally I plan on wrapping my exhaust components on my BN1 when I get to that point in the restoration (https://www.pegasusautoracing.com/group.asp?GroupID=HEADERWRAP) and using some additional barrier material as needed (https://www.pegasusautoracing.com/group.asp?GroupID=HEATBARRIER) These are available from many sources.

Cheers,
Dan M.
