Yeah. I can't believe I didn't notice this. The head
gasket that was sent to me is for a four cylinder
engine.

Really a set back, because I have precious time that
could be used putting the thing together. Bummer.

Did you buy a set, or individual gaskets? If you bought a set, I'd be checking the rest of them to make sure you didn't get a TR4 set.
 
I ordered two sets; one top end and one lower end.

I think the lower was cool. Used most of what was
there. The top end was for a four-banger. BP is
shipping a whole new top end set.
 
I did the same, but had checked mine as soon as it arrived. The machinist wanted to mic the head gasket to be sure of the thickness and the thickness of the steel rings around each cylinder.

It takes a week for parts to get here from BPNW, so I checked everything as soon as it arrived.
