HD Carb Jet Adjusting Screw Question

Ok, dumb question of the day. I've searched all over, and I know I saw it somewhere, but of course can't find it when I need it:
HD6 carb mixture adjustment: On the jet adjusting screw (as Norman Nock describes it) (not the slow run valve), which rotation direction makes the mixture 'lean' and which makes it 'rich'.
Thanks
Dave

"To enrichen the mixture the # 18 screw should be turn In." - Shop Manual.
" Turning the screw clockwise enrichens the mixture" - Driver's Handbook.

Dave.

The works setting was 35-38 thou below the jet bridge and if everything else is correct the car will run perfectly in that position.
